Push Square readers name Phantom Blade Zero Game of the Month

Push Square has revealed the winner of its Game of the Month poll for October 2026, as chosen by the site's readers: Phantom Blade Zero. The award comes at the end of an unusually packed stretch for new PS5 releases, with October following an equally busy September.

A crowded month for PS5

According to the outlet, October 2026 was packed with new PS5 games across its 31 days, making the reader-voted competition particularly interesting. The timing is also notable because October sits immediately before the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, one of the most anticipated releases on the platform.

GTA 6 arrives in November

Grand Theft Auto VI is an action-adventure game coming to PS5 on November 19, 2026. MegaGame currently lists the standard edition at $49.00, so players who enjoyed October's wave of releases have a major open-world title waiting just around the corner.

For PlayStation owners, the poll result highlights that there was still plenty to play in the run-up to GTA 6, with readers singling out Phantom Blade Zero as the standout of a very crowded month.
